Spiritual deception can happen to anyone, even when you think it will never happen to you. I once belonged to a religious group who highly esteemed “religious experiences” over the Word of God. Experiences such as drunk or slain in the spirit, automatic writing, hearing the audible voice of God, falling down and birthing, having visions, laughing uncontrolably, barking, speaking in unknown jibberish with no legitimate interpreter, and having false prophets prophesy the future over you…..yes, I craved to be closer to God, but was looking in all of the wrong places to do so, rather than the written Word. These people use the Holy Spirit as their banner to abuse, manipulate, and control all in the name of Jesus Christ. I want to urge anyone who is involved in this type of religious system to “leave quickly,” run and do not look back. When I left this false system, I was accused of “falling away,” “backsliding,” and “not having a true conversion.” Please do not believe these peoples’ lies and go back to their system of idolitry, stay studied in the Word and follow Jesus Christ only…..pray, pray, and pray for God’s protection and strength to endure the pain inflicted upon you from an elitist, abusive religious cult.

Most nations in the world had their beginning as colonies and then in the 20th century gained their independence and became sovereign nations, especially the Middle Eastern nations.

My husband and myself were invited by a friend to a Bible study at their friends home. We were delighted and very comfortable with our friends theology. However, once we at the home of the Bible study, something seemed wrong. The people visiting the Bible study all used the verbage many of us use, yet once the speaker began he started putting down various denominations and their errors then went on to say his ministry group just got back from Africa and they were all exhausted. He went on to say it was their mission to undo the garbage the churches in America is dumping on the rest of the world. That they kept burnt out tired pastors/missionaries in distant countries from quiting. He then proceeded (we were obviously the only ones there who didn’t know where he was going) to say so and so was given a revelation from God – a throne room visitation and that anyone can do what he did. That’s what they do, not spread the Gospel, get people saved – it’s throne room time they crave and seek after. If we had driven ourselves we would have gotten up and left, but we were in a distant city, so we stayed. In the end we were grateful God allowed us to hear for ourselves a small area of how some of the church is being deceived. They cannot see that it’s witchcraft – the very things they describe seeing in the throne room is the same thing people “see”/experience when they do meditations. Then their personality changes and that’s all they want to do, they crave it, they admit they want to quit their jobs, don’t want to spend time with their famlies or READ THE BIBLE OR PRAY> all they want to do is …
I know this was off topic of your subject, but it’s similar – we need to be vigilant about being in The Word and praying to guard against this heresy.
